The official registered business name is Neuron Waypoint Co., Ltd. The company was established in 2018 in Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do, and the teaching address has been this room ever since.
Han Seoyeon began a personal futures journal in 2011, after hours, while clerking at a brokerage office in Daejeon. The notebook was not for anyone else. It was a way to see, a week later, whether the reason she remembered matched the bar she had traded.
By 2016 a few people from that city were bringing their own notebooks to her kitchen table. The pattern was already familiar: full pages, confident verbs, and charts that told a quieter story. In 2018 she registered Neuron Waypoint Co., Ltd. and took the room on Gyeryong-ro so the work would have a door, a fee, and a chair that was not beside the rice cooker.
Journal review became a scheduled sitting in 2019, after too many visitors arrived with rewritten notes and asked to be told they had been right. The Thursday markup circle opened in 2021 with six seats, because a seventh sheet cannot be seen from the head of the table. Park Minjae, who first came as a student from Cheonan in 2019, took the chart desk in 2022.
People at the desk
Representative of Neuron Waypoint Co., Ltd. and the person who reads journals. She still writes her own futures notes by hand. In a sitting she will not skip ahead to the week you are proud of. English is the language of the review, which is how the room serves students who keep their journals in English, including people who travel in from Seoul and Daejeon.
Leads the annotation desk. He trained as a draughtsman before he cared about markets, and the desk still looks like a drawing table: large paper, a straightedge, graphite that can be lifted. He is impatient with crowded sheets and patient with a second attempt on a clean page.
The journal is read in the order it was written. Later knowledge is not allowed to move upward into an earlier session. Charts are marked in pencil. The circle stays at six. Fees are said in advance, and a longer journal is quoted before anyone sits down, rather than discovered at the end of the hour.
Gongju is a deliberate address. The room is far enough from a Seoul screen-room that people arrive with paper already printed, and close enough to Daejeon that a Thursday evening is possible after a shop shift. We teach annotation and the writing that makes annotation reviewable. Orders, size, and the choice of account remain the student’s.
