Who it is for

Students who want repetition with other people in the room, not a private reading of their own journal. Seats suit people who can travel to Gongju on a Thursday evening.

What you leave with

Each person leaves with that week's marked sheet and a few lines on where their swing marks differed from the sheet we pin up at the end.

  • A seat at the table and a printed chart for that evening
  • Pencil work on structure, then a short written note of what you think the sheet shows
  • A closing comparison led by Han Seoyeon or Park Minjae
  • Tea at the break. The room is open from 18:40 so you can sit before 19:00

Outside this booking

  • A private review of your journal during the circle
  • A seventh seat. The table holds six sheets that can still be seen from the head
  • Recordings of the evening
  • A guarantee of the same chair if you miss a week

Who sits with you

Han Seoyeon or Park Minjae leads, depending on the week. The leader is named when the seat is confirmed. Both of them use the same order: mark first, write second, compare last.

Order of the hour

  1. The week's chart is chosen by the room. You do not bring your own market on circle night.
  2. From 19:00 to 19:40 everyone marks in silence.
  3. Ten minutes are for a short note: what the structure is, and which level you would still defend.
  4. The leader pins one sheet and the circle says where the other sheets disagree.
  5. The last part is a single rewrite on a clean corner of the page, using only marks that survived the comparison.

What to bring

  • Arrive before 19:00. A seat unclaimed at 19:10 is released to anyone waiting
  • Bring nothing you need to plug in
  • If you are on a four-week place, tell us the week you will miss before that Thursday morning

Limits of the booking

  • Six seats. When they are taken, the following Thursday is the next opening
  • English is the language at the table
  • The circle is practice on a shared chart. It is not a signal meeting
  • Students under the age of majority are not enrolled
